Alexander Trofimov

Photographer artist Alexander Trofimov is one of Russia's rising stars. His art is inspired by architecture and the cityscape of one of the most beautiful cities in the world - St Petersburg. This alternative outlook is in stark contrast to the more traditional representation of the city. The artist loves his native town and in his photography it gains a new significance and colour.

Alexander Trofimov was born in 1965 in St Petersburg.

1984 - Graduated from Serov Art College in St Petersburg.
1991 - Graduated from Muchina Art Institute in St Petersburg.
Since 1993 - Member of St Petersburg Union of Photographers and Designers.

1989 - 1991 - Creating slide-films devoted to the life of German Light Designer Ingo Mauer and American Design Studio Massimo Vignelli.
1992 - 1998 - Organising photo studio "Photo Design Borey".

All photos are limited edition, hand printed and available on glossy or matt paper in different sizes: 30x45 cm, 40x50 cm and 50x75 cm.
